Why is my combi water cloudy?
Combination boilers heat mains water directly as required. During this process the Calcium Bi-Carbonate changes to Calcium Carbonate, this creates carbon dioxide which is millions of tiny bubbles, this gives the water the cloudy effect. Once the water settles and cools it begins to clear, this reaction is more apparent in hard water areas and from boilers with a slower flow rate. This occurrence is purely cosmetic. .
